How We Serve
Each month, trained volunteers—prepared in prayer—visit hospitals and aged care homes in pairs. These visits are carried out with gentleness and deep respect, rooted not in performance but in presence. The focus is on offering hope, dignity, and spiritual upliftment through quiet companionship and compassionate attention. We believe that simply showing up with love allows God’s peace to flow through us and touch lives in powerful, often unseen, ways.
Spiritual Encouragement
During visits, our ministry teams may offer:
- A comforting Bible verse to lift the spirit
- A short prayer or familiar hymn
- A silent presence — when words are not needed
We never pressure anyone to engage. Every interaction is guided by sensitivity, compassion, and the unique needs of each person.

Involving Youth and Families
We invite families and young people to participate meaningfully in this ministry. Youth can:
- Create handmade cards with uplifting messages
- Accompany visits under the supervision of adult servants
- Reflect on the Christian call to mercy, love, and service
This is a powerful way for the next generation to grow in empathy and faith.
Training and Formation
Before serving, all participants attend a one-hour orientation that includes:
- Training in pastoral care, active listening, and respectful presence
- Guidance on privacy, safety, and institutional protocols
- Reflection on how to handle challenging or emotional situations
Ongoing spiritual formation is offered to support growth and discernment in service.

Partnering with Institutions
We work hand-in-hand with hospital chaplains and aged care staff. Every visit is:
- Approved in advance and structured for maximum care and compliance
- Aligned with health regulations and facility policies
- Guided by the Church’s mission of love, healing, and hope
This partnership ensures that our service is both welcome and impactful.
